Staging

Commit exactly what you meant.

Stage whole files, single hunks or individual lines, and unstage or discard at the same granularity. Patches are re-derived from disk and applied with git apply --cached, so what you see is what gets committed.

Working tree features
Interactive rebase

Rewrite history without fear.

Drag commits into order, then pick, reword, edit, squash, fixup or drop. SpadeGit drives real git rebase -i, and an undo panel backed by the reflog puts any recent HEAD one click away.

History features
Conflicts

Pause, resolve, continue.

Merges, rebases, cherry-picks and reverts stop on conflicts instead of aborting. Take ours, theirs or both for each block, edit by hand, then mark it resolved and continue.

How conflicts work
Under the hood

Your git, unchanged.

Commits, merges, rebases and every network operation run through the git CLI. Your hooks fire, your commits are signed, and your credential manager and SSH config just work. On Windows the installer even brings its own git.

$ git commit -S -m "feat: zoomable graph"
running pre-commit hook… ok

Questions

What happens when the trial ends?
SpadeGit switches to read-only. You can still browse history, diffs and blame, and fetch; committing and pushing need a license.
How many machines can I use?
All of your own. A license is per person, not per device.
Does it replace git?
No, it drives it. Commits, merges, rebases and network operations run the git CLI, so hooks, signing and credentials behave exactly as in your terminal.
Does it work offline?
Yes. The license is checked when you are online and remembered when you are not.
Where do I manage my license?
At spade.software/account: look up your key, manage a subscription, or re-send a lost key.
Can I get a refund?
Within 30 days of purchase, in full. Email support@spade.software.
